How to measure the right size of the saddles you want to buy
How to choose the right Saddle for your guitar?
There are various shapes and sizes strat-type bridge Saddles. We hope that the below information will serve you as a useful reference.
We have 3 sizes corresponding to different guitars (for smaller/bigger fingers).
Please ALWAYSmeasure with a digital caliper as shown, there is no other way....
If you don't have a digital caliper, app (the picture) to your neighbour, family or a friend, there is allways someone near to help you :-)
Measuring & width recognition
Measure one of your current Saddles with a digital caliper.
Please note. It is important to be aware that some guitars do not have the correct size Saddles. You can see this when there are gaps between the 6 Saddles. If this is the case, you should check their width as described.
It is still possible that your size differs....(bought the wrong size or chinese or otherwise)
The right size can also be measured via the string spacing.
Measure the most outer (two) strings on your guitar with the digital caliper and see if it comes close the types we sell. The 6 strings result in 5 times the saddles size (you lose half a saddle-width on both ends).
HG 11.2 mm should come close to: 5x11.2 mm=56 mm or 2-7/32" (inch)
HG 10.8 mm should come close to: 5x10.8 mm=54 mm or 2-1/8" (inch)
HG 10.5 mm should come close to: 5x10.5 mm=52 mm or 2-1/16" (inch)
If this is not the case, you have a bridge that is not fit for our saddles. You can still select a smaller size for your bridge so it fits, but that is not an option for the smallest type :-)
