I put these saddles on my MIM Stratocaster and the difference is quite astonishing. No more screw heads digging into the side of my hand. I intended to purchase these saddles for all the Strats I own.
A brilliant evolution to Leo Fenders original saddle design. I highly recommend this product.

Solves a problem as old as The Stratocaster. I’m amazed it took 64 years to figure this out. They look and sound great also.

I bought these because I could no longer stand being poked by bridge screws. I was pleasantly surprised by the improved intonation and tuning stability. Best I've ever had from a vintage-style Strat bridge. And they sound great too, very similar to the Raw Vintage that they replaced. Great product! Wish I had bought them years ago.

Good for High Saddles as Well as Low

While these saddles will work as claimed to prevent gouging of your hand when your saddles are adjusted close to the bridge, they also work very well for those of us who flatten and lock the tremolo and have to raise the saddles up to get clearance. With the standard bridge I have to use aftermarket height adjustment screws to get the proper height for my playing style. With the Highwood Saddles, I can use the included equipment for the same adjustment. Nice!!!

Update to my original review of the Highwood Contoured Vintage Stratocaster Saddles

In my original review, I noted that I could not use a StewMac .25 neck shim with the Highwood Saddles because the bridge height adjustment screws were too short. While the short screws are adequate when the shim is not used, the shim pulls the neck back which means the saddles must be set higher, or the strings will literally rest on the fretboard at highest saddle adjustment. I contacted the manufacturer, and although surprised at my finding, he sent a new set of longer screws from The Netherlands to my address at no charge. That's responsive customer service deserving an additional Star. 5 Stars to Highwood based on quality and customer service.
